How do you permantely turn off events after an action from the player or have an event affect another one on a new map?

Use switches. You should be able to find a tutorial about switches on gaming world or somthing.

Variables are easier, because events can't have Switch = off for a prerequesite. Set the requirement for the event to have a variable = 0, and at the end of the script, add a variable + 1 line
